The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Chevy Chase
Prescient Environmental conducted a mold and moisture assessment of the residential units at 8551 Connecticut Avenue for the building's management. The work was carried out unit by unit in an occupied luxury building, with moisture mapping and environmental measurements guiding targeted corrective actions and minimal disruption to residents. Following the corrective work, Prescient Environmental performed the verification inspections that confirmed the treated areas met the IICRC S520 criteria.
The Willard Hotel, Washington DC
Mold inspections and remediation oversight at one of the city's landmark hotels. The team assessed visible growth, identified elevated airborne spore levels and wrote the remediation plan. After treatment, a post-remediation verification confirmed that contaminated materials were removed, surfaces were HEPA vacuumed and air sampling met the verification criteria, releasing the areas for rebuild.
The Chasen Apartments, Richmond, Virginia
Hourigan engaged Prescient Environmental to support the development of The Chasen, a multi-building apartment community in Richmond, Virginia, and the project is now complete. Before construction began, the team delivered a two-hour mold awareness class for the Hourigan crew, so the general contractor and the hygienist worked from the same playbook from day one. The Three Phase Program then put inspections at the critical stages, with moisture mapping after weather events and clearance of affected buildings, and the whole team worked together using the moisture equipment Prescient recommended. The result was a smoother process for everyone on site and a schedule that held.

Framing assessment across all units and townhouses after severe weather: widespread growth and elevated moisture in nearly 65 percent of the framing. A detailed report went to the general contractor and the remediation company, and treatment of the affected framing was completed.

Water damage inspection after a cut water line in a fourth-floor nurses lounge affected five levels of the Bles Building. Elevated moisture in porous materials and growth on sheetrock were documented, and the assessment report guided the remediation.
